Thank you so much for taking the time to look through my work. All of the photos below are of real people, just like you. They have their own insecurities and don't always believe they are photogenic. If you've ever thought that, browse through and see how photogenic these beautiful people are and know you are just as beautiful. I hear almost all my clients disclaim "I'm really awkward in photos" or "I've never liked photos of myself", to which I reply, "You haven't been photographed by me yet." Your body is a work of art and I promise you will look just like a painting. Let's create some magic together!

Studio Boudoir photography Dallas Fort Worth, TX

Studio Boudoir photography Dallas Fort Worth, TX

When you picture a photography studio, many of us have a flashback to Sears or the like. Artificial lights and harsh flash usually comes to mind, but studio photography has changed dramatically over the last decade. We have gone from flat light and awkward poses to soft natural light and minimalistic scenes. I still enjoy using artificial light like lamplight or a soft box, but the overall style has changed so much. When booking a studio boudoir session, expect modern furniture, beautiful airy light, and moody shadows. I love playing with light in general, but studio sessions is where I can really shine. Between harsh light with botanical shadows to silhouettes, I love the controlled environment a studio can bring. Unfortunately, I currently do not have my own boudoir studio, but I use many studios and Airbnb locations throughout DFW with a variety of styles sure to suit anyone's taste.

As a Dallas boudoir photographer, I have a lot of experience working out of local studios. In my years living in the DFW area, I have shot at many studio locations. Between industrial, to vintage, and all the way to the 16th chapel, there is a studio in DFW to suit your preferences.

"Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life."

Dallas Fine Art Nude Photography

The human body has been the inspiration for artists for hundreds of years. Nude paintings, specifically, are some of the most famous and critically acclaimed in history. It was only natural for me to find inspiration in the medium that pioneered the nude art genre. Painters have the ability to create the perfect pose. For hours they perfect every facial expression, hand placement, and colors of their piece. My style of nude photography is painterly and focused on the human form rather than erotica.

Many of us are not super comfortable with being nude. I would go so far as to say we barely stay nude even alone. Being nude in front of a stranger can be intimidating, a camera even more so. There is something freeing, however, about facing a fear or going outside our comfort zones. All my nude clients have said the same thing, "being nude was a cathartic experience." I invite you to shed your fears and insecurities just like your clothes and become the painting you always have been.

Michella is a model from Austin, TX and she drove all the way to the Dallas area to collaborate with me! I had this painting inspired nude outdoor boudoir session in mind for a long time and I’m so happy with the final results! When we connected through Instagram, I knew she would be the perfect model to make this idea into a reality.

"Without hesitation. Heather makes one feel comfortable in their own skin. There was never an instant where I felt judged or ashamed. She has a free-flow style of working, that when paired with her level of preparation, make her very flexible for any number of situations. Heather, seemingly effortlessly, brings out the best in you and captures it on film.

RENAISSANCE INSPIRED BOUDOIR

“As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.”

I absolutely love photographing love of all kinds. Whether its self-love, romance, or familial love - I adore photographing love. A favorite band of mine, The Format, has a song lyric that says, "I love love," and I think that sums it up perfectly for me. Couples boudoir is so much fun and I love photographing the deep intimacy couples have together.

I get asked all the time if I photograph weddings, and the short answer is yes! I don't advertise much for weddings as it isn't my main genre, but if you connect with my work and message, then I would love to photograph your big day! My approach to weddings and couples photography is candid, soft, and romantic. I love photographing small weddings and elopements, especially destination elopements.

There is nothing more intimate than a romantic in-home couple boudoir session. Although a dreamy outdoor engagement or anniversary session is also a beautiful way to display your love with your partner, a couples boudoir session, in my opinion, is much more raw.

“Our journeys are often long and difficult. Sometimes we aren’t sure where we’re going; sometimes it may be tempting to give up. But God calls us forward into abundant life. The journey was worth it. And will be worth it. Because weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.”
