For as long as I can remember, I have had a Pisces best friend. Whether it’s their sensitive nature or dreamy personality, I’ve always found Pisces energy magnetic. As the first water sign I’ve photographed in my zodiac photography series so far, I am so excited to share my Pisces photoshoot concept. This year I decided to photograph the zodiac all year and so far it’s been such a fun project. Liv did such an amazing job embodying Pisces energy. Pisces Styled Photoshoot

When deciding how I wanted to style my Pisces concept photoshoot, I began with the color palette. Pisces is a water sign, which means colors like blues, sea green, and purples all represent Pisces energy. I found this gorgeous vintage lavender nightgown set on Ebay and knew it would be perfect for this concept. Between the gorgeous silver like sheen and delicate detailing, I knew it was fit for a siren. After finding the wardrobe for Pisces, I started looking for possible accessories. The mermaid fin headpiece from Chaos Costumes was the perfect touch of fantasy I wanted for my Pisces photos. I love how these pieces all went together and made Pisces come alive.

Capturing the Sensitive Pisces

Anyone who is interested in Astrology knows Pisces is known for being sensitive. Ruled by Neptune in modern astrology, Pisces had no other choice but to be a sensitive sign. Neptune represents introspection, dreams, and intuition. Pisces feel very deeply and sometimes spends time pondering more than  doing. Represented by two fish, Pisces is often known to swim between reality and fantasy. Capturing this during my Pisces photoshoot was important to me. Not only did I want to capture the dreamy nature of the water sign, but I wanted to display the sensitive side of Pisces as well.

Photographing the entire zodiac this year is a big commitment, but I am so excited. Creating a new photoshoot each month has been so creatively stimulating, which is something I always crave. As an artist, burn out is very real. Doing projects like these astrology themed photoshoots helps reminds me why I love what I do. So far I have covered Capricorn and Aquarius, but I will be finishing the entire zodiac by the end of the year.
