Couples boudoir sessions are some of my favorite to photograph. I love capturing connection, and boudoir is entirely about the intimate relationship we have with ourselves and partners. As a Dallas couples boudoir photographer, it’s always my mission to capture couples as they are. Whether that’s silly, erotic, romantic – or a mixture, I love capturing it all. A couples boudoir session is the perfect way to celebrate your love as a couple and to become even closer than you were before your session.

Jeff and Carol contacted me while they were in town from the East Coast. They knew they wanted to celebrate their anniversary with some spice, and I’m so glad they contacted me while they were in town. We decided to shoot their couples boudoir session at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Dallas. Their room has an incredible view of the city and the light at sunset was unreal in their room. I typically suggest a homier environment for couples sessions, and hotels are perfect for that. I love capturing couples as if they were having a romantic evening together. Not only does it set a mood, but it allows my clients to not feel the pressure of posing. Capturing genuine moments and connection is my favorite part of couples boudoir photography.

Couples Boudoir Photo Inspiration

When I first arrived at their hotel, Carol and I went through the outfits she brought along. We decided on a few pieces (asked Jeff for his opinion too) and began the session in front of the giant windows facing the Dallas skyline. I typically will start a couples session with an easy prompt like embracing one another and going for many “almost” kisses. Once I feel they are more comfortable, I’ll give them sexier prompts and ask them to tease one another. This usually brings some laughs, but also gives both of them something to do and not feel like they have to pose unnaturally. As they warmed up, we started doing more complex poses which I absolutely love. Their session was so much fun and I cannot wait until they are back in town for another session with me (we are doing outdoors next).
