Julia is a wound nurse at a hospital and wanted to gift her husband a boudoir album for his birthday. I love when clients hire me for a gift to their partners. Boudoir truly is a beautiful and intimate gift. Julia and I chose this Dallas boudoir studio called The Dark Loft. I recently featured The Dark Loft on a wrote a blog called “Best Dallas Studios for Boudoir“. The Dark Loft is a gorgeous location with emerald green, plants, vintage accessories, and natural light. I was so excited to shoot Julia’s session at this Dallas boudoir studio, because I knew she would fall in love with the space. Of course, I was right. As usual.
For Julia’s first outfit we went with a simple black set. Julia told me my wardrobe guide helped her decide what to bring. One of my “must have” items is a black set and a thong. This simple outfit wound up being her favorite and mine as well. I love the way it paired with the vintage pink robe I brought. Julia later wore a beautiful pink lingerie dress and two outfits she knew her husband would love. We laughed about how his favorite outfits always involve a shirt and underwear. She later informed me he was obsessed with those shots.
I absolutely love Julia’s session at The Dark Loft. Between all the gem tones, surreal prisms, and soft natural light, I could not be more obsessed with this Dallas boudoir studio. I am so excited to book more boudoir sessions here in the future! Contact me to book your own boudoir photo shoot at The Dark Loft! Let’s make some magic!
