Dallas Maternity Photographer
Goddess Maternity Session with Floral Installations
I’ve known Lauren for many years now so when she told me she was expecting her first child, as a Dallas maternity photographer I was over the moon. As a tattoo artist at Dark Age in Denton, Lauren is a fellow artist herself. Whenever my clients are creative themselves I know magic will happen. After deciding on a date, we went back and forth on wardrobe and location. She knew she wanted a goddess-like look outdoors at sunset, but also wanted some indoor shots as well. We opted for starting her Dallas maternity photography session at The Ruscus Studio and then ended at Katie’s Woods Park.
When it comes to maternity boudoir sessions, I typically recommend I mix of dresses and lingerie. This way you have photos to give your family as well as getting those more artistic shots you’re wanting. Lauren began with a beautiful garden-styled dress at The Ruscus Studio. I love the way this dress looked with all the floral installations. We then transitioned into a white set with a bridal cape attached to her lingerie straps. This is a little trick I always recommend to elevate any lingerie look. At the end of her session we had some implied nudes with a sheer duster and glittery fabric.
The last part of her maternity session was an absolute dream. Lauren opted to wear a dramatic silver wig with pasties in order to have coverage while maintaining the implied nude look. She looked absolutely stunning and had a total Mother of Dragons vibe. Between the dreamy sunset and Laurens ethereal beauty, her maternity photos turned out insanely beautiful. I am so happy she trusted me with her maternity boudoir photos and excited for her to have her little boy in May.
