I absolutely love photographing maternity boudoir sessions. There is something about the shape of a pregnant woman that is incredibly artistic. Kalie’s Dallas maternity photography session at Katie’s Woods Park was amazing. Her husband joined us for a few shots and assisted with making some of the poses possible. Like all outdoor boudoir sessions, the weather can be unpredictable.  The day of their maternity session with me was unfortunately pretty cold and very windy. Getting some of these beautiful images was a challenge. Kalie wanted some implied nude maternity poses which required some tulle material. With the bellowing wind, this was pretty difficult. In the end, however, the wind became our best friend. I love the way her hair was constantly moving and the pink tulle looked so dreamy with the wind.

Couples boudoir is one of my favorite genres to photograph. I was so happy Kalie and her husband wanted a few shots together during their session. Due to the weather, we opted for jeans to stay on and focused on the upper body shots. I think the two of them look so beautiful together and I loved capturing their love for one another. They are expecting their first child next month and I am sure these maternity photos will be remembered forever.
