“Till this moment, I never knew myself”
When my client contacted me about booking a painterly nude boudoir session, I was over the moon with excitement. I adore nude boudoir sessions, because they invoke feelings of vulnerability, authenticity, and renaissance. After we set a date for her session, I was hard at work finding the perfect Airbnb location. This adorable little cottage nestled in DFW was the perfect spot. Whether it was the floral couch, directional window light, or gorgeous vanity – I just knew it was the perfect location.
She loves literature, especially books like Pride and Prejudice. I love the quote, ““Till this moment I never knew myself,” from Pride and Prejudice. It felt as if that quote fit her as she began to see herself for the first time during her session. Boudoir oftentimes has a way of showing us our bare selves. No longer covered by clothes and facades, we are able to see the person under our daily skin. I love hearing clients tell me how their boudoir photos truly changed the way they saw themselves.
