My mother told me to be wary of fauns
Madison loves to cosplay and I love to photograph darker, conceptual portraits – so we were a perfect match. I love the movie Pans Labyrinth, which inspired me to create this ram headdress for Madison to wear. I wanted something fantasy-like, but also earthy and ethereal. Not only did I have a lot of fun creating this DIY horn headpiece, but it pushed me creatively. Madison has a modeling history, so she was so easy to pose to create these artistic portraits. Madison recently inherited a full-length fur coat and cowl from her Grandmother, and both were perfect additions to the photos. I can’t wait to photograph more cosplay inspired portraits, especially faun cosplay photography, hopefully in the near future.
And it is said that the Princess returned to her father’s kingdom. That she reigned there with justice and a kind heart for many centuries. That she was loved by her people. And that she left behind small traces of her time on Earth, visible only to those who know where to look.
