Shelby is like a waking dream. Between her beautiful princess-like locks and willowy form, I felt like I was in the presence of an elf. Her hope for her nature boudoir photos was ethereal photos that truly captured who she is. Although Shelby is absolutely gorgeous, her heart and soul is what makes her a truly beautiful being. I have known Shelby for quite a few years now so I know her beyond being my client. She is the type of person who sits in trees and plays the flute and paints the sunset. Pain is a part of her human experience, but it shines through as a deep compassion. Shelby is also a professional artist. When taking her nature boudoir photos, I wanted to capture this about her. I love helping my clients decide and figure out their wardrobe for their session with me. Being a photographer means I know what looks good in pictures. I know which colors will compliment your skin, the backdrop, and what fabrics match the vibe of the session. I knew Shelby leans more modest so I brought an elegant vintage romper for her to wear. Rompers and slip dresses are a great option for nature boudoir photos as they match the tone and provide a bit more modesty for my shyer clients. I have created an entire blog guiding my clients on their wardrobe. Click here to view my wardrobe guide!
“This is the forest primeval,
The murmuring pines and the hemlocks,
Bearded with moss, and in garments green, indistinct in the twilight,
Stand like druids of eld, with voices prophetic,
Stand like harpers hoar, with beards that rest on their bosoms.
Loud from its rocky caverns, the deep voiced neighboring ocean speaks,
and in disconsolate answers the wail of the forest.”
