Maternity Boudoir
Meeting Angel a few years ago was such a blessing. Since meeting, she has transformed my hair from long, black, and lifeless to a unicorn mane. Angel is a professional hair colorist in Dallas and is so talented at what she does. Not only is she a hair colorist, she is also one of my make-up artists I work with for boudoir sessions. She is a strong feminist, body positive advocate, and a straight up bad ass lady. When I heard she was expecting, I was so excited. She is going to be an incredible mother that helps shape the next generation. Photographing her Dallas maternity photos was such a joy and I am so excited to share them!
Maternity Boudoir Wardrobe
Maternity boudoir is hands down one of my favorite genres to photograph. Pregnant women bring major goddess vibes and that is no exception to Angel. Her business name is Color Cherub which I think is perfect for how angelic her presence is. For the first look, I really wanted to focus on an angelic look. I brought my vintage white robe and baby-doll top, both I found while thrifting. All I asked was for her to bring a white set of underwear and any accessories she likes. Between both of us, we created such a gorgeous and angelic look for her Dallas maternity photos.
Secondly, I knew I couldn’t pass up a dark and moody look with her red hair and winter scenery. Like with the first look, I brought a robe and asked her to bring a black set to match with it. I love how easy it is to add variety to a boudoir session by just changing from white to black. My favorite shots from the whole set were the shots of her laying down in the fallen leaves. Her bright red hair and skin-tone both stand out and blend in with the wintery scene.
For her last look, Angel wanted to wear the dress she plans to wear to her baby shower. I always encourage clients to bring a dress in addition to lingerie when booking a boudoir maternity session. Bringing a dress will add more variety and are perfect shots to display a shower. Together with her bright red hair and green dress, Angel brought major mermaid vibes. In all, I absolutely love outdoor maternity boudoir sessions and I am eager to photograph more expecting goddesses. Contact me to book your own Dallas maternity photography session!
