My name is Heather Sansanelli, owner of Royal Lune Photo. I specialize in boudoir and portrait photography in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Impressionist paintings, poetry, light, and the earth are what inspire me most. Royal Lune Studio began in 2023 when I decided I wanted to create a fine art photography studio in the Dallas area. Although there are many beautiful studio spaces in Dallas, a truly fine art experience was missing. My brand is focused around renaissance tones and whimsical nature elements, which I couldn't find anywhere in a studio space. Thus, I decided to take the plunge and create my dream studio myself! Located in Sanger, TX (north of Denton, TX), Royal Lune Studio is a gorgeous 400 sq space with large windows, earth-toned walls, and dreamy botanical décor throughout. My vision for this Dallas photography studio space was to bring the "outdoors" inside all while keeping some traditional boudoir elements intact. You can expect seasonal set changes and limited time set design changes throughout the year.

I have a B.A in Humanities and I am "one of those people" really love school. That being said, I enjoy reading and discussing philosophy, spirituality, literature, and different worldviews. Deep conversation is what I am all about and I love getting to know my clients. Being a classic introvert, my ideal evening is on my couch with a hot cup of tea and my cats on my lap. I do, however, also love adventure! I’m relatively daring and there is not a whole lot that scares me. You could say I'd be the first to kayak with the Orcas, skydive, or take a risk for "the shot". In fact, I have fallen down a waterfall trying to get "the shot". So you know, you could say I'm dedicated.

Most days I occupy my time playing video games (I love my Nintendo Switch), reading fantasy, hiking and exploring new places, taking photos (duh), watching movies (surreal horror is my jam), and spending time with my loved ones (mostly my cats).

what kind of sessions are allowed?

Any type of photography is allowed in Royal Lune Studio with a max of 5 people. Due to the installations and many breakables, I ask that no children are left unattended as any damage will result in fees and the possibility of being banned. No animals allowed without consent.

To book time at the studio, please visit my booking calendar. Bookings will need to be approved prior to booking to ensure studio is not being used for my client sessions. You will know within 24 hours.

To book a session with me at Royal Lune Studio in Sanger, TX visit my contact page. Once I have received your inquiry, you will be contacted within 48 hours to set up a consultation.

Events that include over 5 people are currently not allowed at Royal Lune Studio due to fire code regulations. Contact me with any events you have in mind.

Renting the studio is non-refundable outside of an "act of god" (car accident, severe weather, etc.) If you need to cancel and reschedule, I will need a minimum of 48 hours or else a reschedule fee will apply.

how do i book a time at the studio?

All of the images on my website have been approved with a signed model release. I will never share any of your photos without your permission. This is something we discuss after your session and it is totally up to you. You can be assured that your privacy is a top priority.

My philosophy is centered around you accepting and loving yourself. I will only remove blemishes, scars, and tanlines (if requested). I do not alter body shape, remove wrinkles, or remove beauty marks. You will remain wholly you in all the best ways.

WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?

I have many locations that I shoot at. Your session fee includes a DFW studio space or an outdoor location. I have a whole list of my favorite studios as well as my favorite nature spots. I also offer destination and travel boudoir, travel accommodation fees apply.

do you photograph weddings?

Yes, I do photograph weddings! Weddings are not my primary photography genre, but I do take on some weddings throughout the year, specifically elopements and smaller weddings. Contact me for pricing.

how much do you charge?

My session pricing starts at $750 and goes up $2700. My packages focus on beautiful products, edited digitals, and a luxury experience. I do accept in house payment plans on a case by case basis.

The short answer is anything that makes you feel your absolute best. This is something we discuss during the booking process. I have written a blog that includes all my favorite brands and recommendations.

I currently offer digital images, linen folio boxes, luxury Layflat albums, museum quality framed wall art, mounted prints, and framed canvases.

I am willing to travel ANYWHERE you can imagine. I love traveling for sessions, whether it's for your destination wedding or you have a dream boudoir session in mind. Contact me for details. Travel fees and accommodations will apply.

I take the health and safety of my clients very seriously. I am fully vaccinated and will wear a mask upon request. All garments are sanitized between clients. If you have any concerns and requests, I will make it top priority to meet them.
